
During these hard times, most of the major car companies are looking at developing cheaper, smaller cars with smaller engines and alternative fuels that get better gas mileage.
I find it interesting to look back at some of the older small cars. I recently came across a Morris Minor here on the streets of Los Angeles. I was originally just attracted to its old American style design that seemed to have been miniaturized to a smaller size. The Morris Minor was built between 1948 and 1971. It was designed by Alec Issigonis who later went on to design the iconic original Mini for the British Motor Corporation. The other little thing that I really like about the Morris Minor is that its rear-wheel drive which allows you to do such fun things as this:
